Handspun Wool and English Angora Rabbit Fiber Yarn

$32.00

This skein weighs in at approximately 6.2 ounces with approximately 210 yards of two-ply worsted weight yarn. It's a barberpole skein, with two very different singles plied together to create a barberpole effect. One ply was spun from a Spring Evening Bunowool and consists of 1/3 New Zealand romney fiber (milled and dyed in the U.S.), 1/3 New England blended wool, and 1/3 English angora rabbit fiber from our upstate NY homestead. This is the light ply, it has a green-gray color to it that is reminiscent of a spring evening. The other ply is a natural brown wool that was washed and carded right here in NY after being raised by a farmer friend in the area. The rabbits in service for the Bunowool were Penny, Elaine, and Frederick.

(Are you a handspinner? If you want to pick up your own Spring Evening Bunowool, with which you can make your own ideal yarn, check out the separate Bunowool listing!)
