Bunowools! Angora fiber + wool = JOY!
Bunowools! are a wonderful way for a person to spin angora and not get hung up in the usual difficulties. Blended with wool, the angora is a dream to spin and the balance between dyed and undyed fibers results in a tweedy, delightful yarn.
Each Bunowool is approximately 3 ounces and contains 1/3 English angora rabbit fiber from our upstate NY homestead. Most Bunowools contain 1/3 dyed wool and 1/3 naturally colored wool, too.
This post has the non-red-based Bunowools: Forest Home (green), Berry Blue (purple and blue), Creamsicle (orange with some yellow), and Royalty (purple).
Berry Blue (purple and blue): 1/3 New Zealand romney wool (processed and dyed in the U.S.), 1/3 New England blended wool, and 1/3 English angora rabbit fiber. Rabbit in service was Marienne.
Forest Home (green): 1/3 New Zealand romney wool (processed and dyed in the U.S.), 1/3 New England blended wool, and 1/3 English angora rabbit fiber. Rabbits in service include Cordelia, Vanessa, and Marilla Jane.
Creamsicle (orange with some yellow): 1/3 New Zealand romney wool (processed and dyed in the U.S.), 1/3 NY-raised and milled blended wool (Polworth, Jacob, and hybrid) from a farmer friend, and 1/3 English angora rabbit fiber. Rabbits in service include Theo, Penny, and Afina.
Royalty (purple): 1/3 New Zealand romney wool (processed and dyed in the U.S.), 1/3 New England blended wool, and 1/3 English angora rabbit fiber. Rabbits in service were Graeme Wylde, Marjorie, and Theo.
Each batt is individual. This natural product contains small amounts of vegetable matter and there are natural variations in fiber color and texture in the batt.
